There is no occasion like when you are travelling and working to unearth the most unlikely routes.

In 2009 Pedro Sousa Raposo goes in a six months journey in India and Nepal to carry out field work and research in sculpture.

This research has led him to travel thousands of kilometres in remote areas outside the tourist circuit, without guides, ambassadors or fabrications.

The portrait mirrors the ephemeral and emotional connection of the photographer toward the portrayed.

In a region so vast and diverse that needs thousands of pictures to be described, the choice goes to a close up.
